Will you get 0 if you go off topic in HAST. The topic was "We are not satisfied with what we have". I wrote a narrative about addiction since we always want more of the substance we take and are not satisfied with what we consume. Would you say this is very off-topic.

I want all the year 10 students to understand that, the test is over and we face a new challenge. The challenge at the moment is to choose our subjects which will suit us best. We may get in or not, but it is best we prepare ourselves for the school we are currently in. Best of luck!! :)

Just did the HAST test

Fort for Year 11. Test was easier than last year, but i'd recommend anyone who does it to study for at least 2 month. I may be able to provide some HAST materials for future students. IMO reading was hardest and abstract was easiest. Math was very time consuming and the writing topic was good...

I am writing this before the HAST exam. I am applying into year 11 at Fort Street with second choice at Tech and third choice at Girra. Hope that I make it in :)

I think HyphoonShah applied those schools because he felt more people in tech would get entry into SBHS and NSBHS etc.

Its after the application and I have applied Fort Street, Sydney Tech and Girraween in the same order

I've heard they didnt do traditional method and hast test.

Are there any other methods to make it into a selective school. I have heard students saying they got into Hurlstone AHS and other selective schools using a 'portfolio' method and not HAST method.

Questions regarding selective entry after year 7

In the website, they said year 10 cohort is 150 students, and year 11 cohort is 170, so around 10-20 spots. Plus, 2 or 3 may leave anyway

nah its believed 10-25 but avg 15-20 spots are open
