Hmmm I see. Well then, I guess I will take advantage of my bonus points. I have 8 from a program I did there, and 5 bonus points. Hopefully that guarantees a spot! Also, is it hard to make friends when you start Uni? It is so different you know.

But how is that fair? I'm just worried someone will get in the course i want and they got lower than me with bonus points you know? and I actually passed the cut off (I know it can change too, but just as an example)

Oh also, say to get into a course you need 95, but one person got 89. Then, another person got 95. But then the one who got 89, got bonus points, maybe 7, so their atar is now 96 because of bonus points. who gets offered into the course?

Thanks I want to do B media (communications and journalism) at UNSW and cut off is in my sig, so i just passed that with 87.95, I also have 8 bonus points (and I am sure i will receive some, maybe 2 from my subjects i scored highly in my hsc)

Oh also, by passing the minimum atar (and if you have a lot of bonus points) that does not guarantee a place in your course right?

Was hoping for a 90 however calculators indicated high 80's I received 87.95 - passed what i needed, which i am quite content with Einstein estimated = 87.95 exactly matrix = 85.25 Talent 100 = 85.95

I agree with the above. However, are your parents willing to listen to what you have to say? Or is it a kind of ''Do as I say'' attitude with your parents? I wish the best for you.

Don't worry so much about what others will think about your ATAR. Yes, it is impressive, however asking questions ''is it good'' is up to you. Some people are very happy with an 80 ATAR, a 70 etc. It is what you think about it. And it shouldn't be something to impress people about (not...

What is the point of getting the paper back? This is similar to me in that for religion i was getting mid 90s all the time, but my mark ended up being 85 overall. Isn't this the same thing with your English mark, the whole moderation etc?
