    Scaling ??

with pikachu^ everyone cares about scaling but if you do well in all your exams, you're gonna get a good result. I know many who's subjects were all in the scaled mean mark of 20's yet still received an atar of 96+..

    Understanding BOSTES prelim results

It’s your course/subject number, nothing to do with your results. Just the column - grade/band (A,B) etc is what you should be looking at.

    School B6's

Also, for e.g if last year's 1st ranked student didn't receive a band 6, doesn't mean you won't either. It's just best to focus on your cohort and trying to get everyone to do well collectively :)

which uni is best for primary education/special education??

doesn't necessarily matter what uni for primary ed, don't have to go to the 'top' ones. Just choose one you feel you'd enjoy and get the most out of for yourself personally.

    Changing degrees during enrollment

She needs to atleast study at the course she was accepted into for one semester. Then she can transfer to a course she wishes which she will be assessed on her atar/average uni mark from first semester.

    Usyd comm

Commerce is a really popular course and usyd is very strict with these things, if you didn’t receive any sort of bonus points or alternate pathway schemes and it’s a fixed 95 atar for it, chances are pretty slim for an offer. Just leave it as first preference (assuming you’ve accepted unsw) and...

Advanced Science Question. ANU vs UNSW

i'd say unsw, i hear undergrad experience at anu is terrible and that its good for its rankings and prestige only.

Kinda regretting moving to Baulko now....

You're ranked pretty well in your current school but anything can happen in the next 2 years. You shouldn't be worried at all.. In a better school, although you may be ranked lower, the standard of students would be significantly higher. If anything, it may be better to be in the higher ranked...

    Going to UNSW, below cut-off

You’re still under the cut off after the 5 bonus points, may have a chance but idk how lenient unsw are. I know usyd aren’t.

    Uws or uts law?!?

In my opinion, prestige isn’t necessarily a big thing, it may be the last factor they take into account after everything else such as gpa, experience etc but know there will always be those few employers/seniors who look down on some unis and therefore may affect your chances if everything else...

    Roll Call: Class of 2018

You were deciding between the two subs, it comes down to what you're better at/enjoy more and only you know that, not anyone else. I said drop geo bc eco has much higher scaling benefits opposed to geo, but don't do it purely based off scaling obvs.
