I'll be studying, but that's cos I have exams straight after the holidays.

I'm one of the bastards who doesn't have exams until after the holidays :D However, I have 2 maths tests and 2 assignments all due before the end of the month :( There's no way I could be studying for exams now, way too much other stuff on.

dkay55, I know what you mean, my school is pretty similar. And yeah just try and summarise the work you do in class, look at past papers, check out a few other study guides if you feel you aren't getting the resources. I try and do 2 hours or more a day, doesn't always happen, lol. Just do...

I'm not stressed yet, but in a couple of weeks I have pretty much an assessment for every subject in a small time period, then two weeks of holidays during which I'll have to study for half-yearlies. I really should keep up with my study notes, but its so hard to get motivated!

Our half yearlies aren't until weeks 1 & 2 of term 2 :D

Only if I have homework/assessments and I'm busy for the rest of the weekend. Generally I don't do much work Friday or Saturday unless it's near exams, and study on Sunday.

I do 11 units and it's awesome, and I'm sure you'd be fine with 10 if you worked hard in all your subjects. I dropped EE1 cos I knew it wasn't going to count anyway, if you don't think PE will count and want to do 10 units, go for it.

I find if your friends have frees the same time as you it's a lot easier to waste the time. Unless your friends are massive nerds. But generally, I find frees are a good thing. Depends on how motivated you are/how well you work. The majority of mine are by myself so I get a fair bit done.

I don't mind Skrzynecki, but I really, really don't like Emma :( Looking forward to King Lear and Frontline though.

Go me, I don't start for another week. We'll probably just get timetables (we don't get diaries), the same talk about what's expected of us this year and what we're meant to do in free periods, and then get start working again :(

This is so horrible and unexpected :( I feel so sad for his poor daughter.

I go to a rural public school, and although I may not have the advantage of my cohort "pulling me up", I have fantastic teachers and small classes, which I find really good. If you work hard you'll get a great result, wherever you go.
