The Official "I GOT THE JOB!!!:D:D" Thread

Unless they specified "nightfill", I think it's shelf stacking and price checking during the day.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - 21 July 2007 (NO SPOILERS)

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - 21 July 2007 Urgh. Just saw the cover today. Looks bloody ridiculous! I thought it was a joke. I think I might get the adult cover even though the rest of mine are the kid's covers.

    Rules for Customers

yeah, there is some technicality there. I remember learning it in Yr 9 commerce but I mentioned it at work the other day after some moron decided to pay his entire grocery bill in coins ( granted, they were in packets/bundles but it pissed me off having to count to check). I mentioned it in...

    Part Time vs. Casual

I'm a perm part timer but the rostering at my place drives me nuts. It's all over the place and NOBODY follows their contracts so I feel weird whinging about it. Argh.

    Jodi Picoult

Perfect Match is alright. Beside MSK, that's the only one I would place in the "decent" catagory for Jodi Picoult.

Books You Own But Have Not Read

Ooo I've read almost all of those! If you're planning to start again anytime soon, I would say go for Little Women or Wuthering Heights. I don't have a copy of Vanity Fair but I found that tough going when I borrowed it and ended up returning it cos I couldn't hack it.

    Jodi Picoult

Yeah, all her books are pretty much the same give or take some scenarios esp the language and expression. Having said that, My SIster's Keeper is one of my faves on my bookshelf. I can't stand the rest of the books that I've read of hers though (incl. Salem Falls, the one about the woman who...

    The Woolworths Thread

hey do you know the site to order shirts from? I remember seeing a poster in the lunchroom but forgot to write the address down. I was a casual up until ONE day after the shirts were ordered so I only got 1 even though I was part time by the time we got the shirts. Argh!

    tutoring "difficult" kids...

I refuse to tutor kids like that. My attitude is if you're there at that desk with me, you better be prepared to learn. If it doesn't work, I speak with the parents. If the same thing happens, I drop them. I'm a tutor (i.e someone who helps them if they're behind or gives them extension...

Which is harder, Accounting or Microeconomics?

Lol I agree. First year was straight forward, second year - I was barely keeping my head above the water and by now I've almost given up lol As long as you DO the work for acct and have half a brain, it just makes sense. With eco, it's like *head bangs against wall*

    Music you HATE

I can listen to pretty much anything (literally) except for thug rap/hip hop (i.e 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg blagh NOT bands like The Roots) and emo/heavy metal. I'm up for everything else from sugary 90's pop to 60's folk, 80's cheese, acoustic, alternative, quality RnB, classical, jazz and even...

    Music and Lyrics

Just saw this tonight. I have never laughed so loudly in a cinema LOL :D Kinda cheesy and Drew and Hugh Grant have no chemistry whatsoever. He looks like her Dad for God's sake! The music and dancing make up for it. And I thought seeing Hugh Grant dance in Love Actually was...

    The SDA Union

Urgh. The head cashier at my place is a 1st class bitch. I hate dealing with her. Also, the SDA lady said something about letting cash office know AS WELL AS cancelling at the SDA itself. Both have to happen for me to stop paying the fees. My friend got out the SDA late last year after writing...

    The SDA Union

I want to get out of this but it's horribly difficult. I called up and the dumb lady just spouted union crap to me. All I want is to cancel my membership! Argh. I've given up. I'm just gonna claim it as a deduction at tax time.

    Copy centre

src bookshop is rubbish textbookexchange requires some legwork and sometimes can come with a headache when dealing with dumb sellers/buyers but the saving is huge. Im in 3rd yr and still dont have coop membership cos there is hardly any need to buy texts brand new
