    Attendance

Back to the topic it depends on ur course/ subject, as a general rule of thumb tutorial/workshops are compulsory (most of the time), labs are 99% compulsory. Lectures depends on cohort size i guess but they are generally recorded, so it doesn't really matter at times

    Chances of getting in...

It's quite rare to see anything shift more than 3 points, 2 points is still within the realm of possibility, but good luck tonight

    Pharmacy Salary

Yeh i do pharm what i mean is, that the course was built for at 90+ atar cohort (no disrespect to people in the 80's), like the idea everyone is under is that cutoff is lower = demand is lower which isn't really the case cause i'm with a almost 300+ cohort, what i'm trying to say, but how many...

    Pharmacy Salary

Just saying even when the cutoff goes down, it doesn't necessarily mean that everyone still passes the course LOL, it just means there's less demand for it than previous years, in which case the market may or may not be less saturated. I would however agree that the market at this point in time...

    Stacking of bonus points

My take on the first part of your question is, they can possibly stack but there will be a capping point at a certain number, and it also depends on how the uni's use the EAS. DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT assume that you will automatically get 5 bonus points, because some faculties will say give a...

I am stuck in a hole here help!

From memory science in general is a high priority course at the moment so chances are you should be able to make the course, i'm not too sure about med sci but i think you should consider adv sci, as this generally will have places for sure and the cutoff is generally 95

    Bachelor of Pharmacy anyone?

Well i guess the problem is people limit their scope to purely community pharmacy, but there are positions else where like industry etc, which is quite relatively untapped from what i see LOL

    Bromine Water Prac

I think and think i use, it's just the same as the start but you just state the colour change LOL

    Bachelor of Pharmacy anyone?

It changes year to year the media is quite exaggerated over it but i do believe there is some degree of saturation but what you'll find that the cohort slims down quite dramatically since a lot of people use it as a stepping stone for other health related degrees. I cannot give a proper...

    The Problem with Rote Learning

Read, identify, solve. Read is basically read, identify comes from familiarity and solve is basically experience i guess

    Take the scholarship or not?

+1 money is a good motivator but you should really do or go to where you want

    The Problem with Rote Learning

I think what i was getting at is that you guys are telling them to learn the gist, but what i'm telling you is the guy needs to learn the paragraph to get the gist. I don't get why you guys seem to have a vendetta against people rote learning, it's merely another tool if anything. I'm just...

    The Problem with Rote Learning

I'm just saying it seems everyone believes that rote learners don't do anything which i kind of find ironic since it would take more time to rote learn in some cases than to learn the concepts. Everyone is sorta bashing the idea that rote learners shouldn't get the advantage because they are...

    The Problem with Rote Learning

But people learn differently, there's no one size fits all in studying. Like some people genuinely do better rote learning than trying to understand concepts, people who understand are just as capable of obtaining 99.95. Hard working people who rote learn should be no different to people who...

B Medical science vs B Science (adv)

Tbh do what you want or what you think you'll enjoy i believe it's been noted that in post graduate degrees for dent and med at usyd. they emphasise having a med sci or pharm background is good but not always the best, from memory they are interested in variety so for all they care you could of...

Alternatives to get into med ?

Vision Science at Unsw is a path they offer to get into optom you should look into that :)

Help me choose my uni peferences! Pharmacy vs Medical Science Ad.

Well as an honest opinion, i really think you should do something you like, unless you're very certain for med, like doing pharm or med science may help with some background knowledge, sometimes uni's don't accept the fact that you've done it and require you to do them again anyways. So yes its...

Help me choose my uni peferences! Pharmacy vs Medical Science Ad.

As others have stated it is harder to get the GPA required from pharmacy not exactly impossible but it is a steeper hill climb, but having said that sometimes people change their minds while doing other courses so yeh :)

ATAR 'devalued by use of bonus point schemes'

It was just an example, i'm not saying it in specifics but more of the idea unsw runs for bonus ATAR points is not exactly stupid because people are running of the idea the subject is kinda redundant, but i'm trying saying that the skills form those sets of subjects are seen relevant...
