Look at the duxify.com website (?), it is based on 2012 results I think since it might not be updated but it is quite accurate for me. You insert your school and your subject rankings to get an atar estimate, and you can play around with the ranks to see what ranks you may need to achieve your aim.

You shouldn't be notified in how many points you receive - all you get are two letters: an acknowledgement which shows they have received your letter and an eligibility which identifies whether your disadvantages were enough to get you EAS consideration. For USYD, this is at the top of my head...

94 to 96, first priority would be edging into top 10 for physics and then try moving towards top 15 for maths ext 1 nevertheless, your subject cohort is quite small and strong as you have said so any improvements in ranks are welcome :)

95-96 Your school does well in biology so I am assuming you are top 40 or something. Atm bump up chemistry to top 15 and see if you can edge into top 5 for Eng Adv. However, imo its too early to ask for an ATAR estimate so just keep improving

Technically A doesn't get the third best mark - their internal assessment mark is the product of a process called moderation which is depedent on their school cumulative assessment mark relative to that of the person coming first (highest cumulative - C) and person coming last (lowest cumulative).

cumulative ranks after trials are generally a much better indication of whereabouts your ATAR may be - simply put as long as youve got % weighting assessments left, just focus on improving
