    The hoo-hah surrounding investment banking

I completely agree with your views of the US deficit, although the previous saying "When the US coughs the world catches a cold" does not apply as previously thought. If you noticed, there was a considerable slowdown in the US house prices, the impacts of which were supposed to be rather...

    The hoo-hah surrounding investment banking

Even though we are presently floating around in a "bubble" that will probably not float forever it does not mean that money will simply dissapear. Money will just move to different areas. Who says you can't make money of a declining market? You can sell short... Even at present there are not...

Don't feel silly, it is confusing [SMH]

I did AP Econ, but I was not given any UAI advantage. My friends in Australia who did Economics got in on a lower UAI. In the states I can use my AP's as course credit...I'm fairly sure the AP Course is almost identical to Uni Macro and Micro econ...You think there would be any way to get out of...

    London/Australia

I did some classes and read a couple books, vocab was really important. You should do a practice test on www.collegeboard.com and see where you are score wise. It's not like the HSC where you can study up the majority of the material...It's a reasoning test, but the Uni's in Australia do not use...

    London/Australia

I was pretty similar, except I had to do the SATs for Australia...I didn't go to an English school over here. SATs were such a bitch....

    London/Australia

I have been living in London as an Aussie for around 4 years now. It was a great experience, but I still view Sydney as my home. I could have gone to almost any Univeristy in the world, but decided on Australia. You may want to be at Home...Apply to Australia, try it out for a year, and if you...

    Enrolment Suks

It's not that bad, at NSW do "Auto Timetable" then adjust the times you do not like.

    London/Australia

People from London will generally say Australia, and people from Australia will generally say London; People like a change of environment...

Don't feel silly, it is confusing [SMH]

In the states they take a combination of everything. I was going to apply, but decided to go to Australia instead (fastest way to get my degree, and huge costs over there). The Schools there look at the SAT as an initial kind of leveller, they then look at AP's, your GPA, community service, and...

Uni Entry System about to Collapse (SMH) - (re: UNSW)

I don't know, I was above the cutoff for Fee, and I'm in. I guess I'll have to do better with so many kids fighting for jobs in three years time, I've booked in a bunch of internships so they should help out.

Uni Entry System about to Collapse (SMH) - (re: UNSW)

If kids are getting on lower UAIs I would not be complaining...It could lead to decreased competition...

Uni Entry System about to Collapse (SMH) - (re: UNSW)

I was not told of these requirements from the UK, they said nothing about this on the phone...

Uni Entry System about to Collapse (SMH) - (re: UNSW)

Do you think anything will come of this?

    Astra CdTi

Ok, so I guess I'll have to get my changes better and buy a petrol in Australia. It's pretty easy to change gear with all the torque on a Diesel, and I don't have to press the accelerator to move off...

Yeah, I assumed the UAI was a level playing field...

Uni Entry System about to Collapse (SMH) - (re: UNSW)

I pay Aussie taxes, I do the same as any other kid, I just did my last couple years of school overseas. My UAI on the UAC guide was around a 94.?...
