Hmmm, very interesting statement from my SM today: That is inviting SO MUCH trouble.

I'm going to have to try it too...Just out of curiosity. Man that would be so awesome though. I wonder if dialling '1' for an outside line applies too

In my store, you can call an outside line from phones in the: Managers office, general office, cash office and service desk. To dial an outside line from the service desk though you need a code, which everyone has forgotten. So the CSM and SM were experimenting a few months ago and found another...

We have that policy too, but we still have to ask them if they would like a bag, i.e we can still give them out if they have just one item. Like I was standing behind a customer in line yesterday and he had one bag of toilet rolls, and he said "Uhmm can you put that in a bag?" Idddddiot.

Man, I'm glad we don't get Mystery Shoppers.

One of our Supers was majorly told of by the SM for putting an unopened tin of baby food back on the shelf after it was returned. Big no-no apparently.

Thanks NC8000. I guess I've had sour grapes towards you from when you first started posting in here, in the wrong context you could have come over as obnoxious, but going back you were only trying to help, and from a different view point. I guess NZ and Aus do have different support offices, I...

I'm in NZ. I'm fairly sure all Woolworths/Countdown/Foodtown stores here use ISIS. Also, I'm fairly sure we don't use CASS either. The only form of electronic communication we use is Outlook Express, which only the SM, SSM and PI have access to. Duty Manager's used to but it got taken away from...

One of our RFs went missing a year ago. The last place the operator remembered having it was in the vicinity of our carton crusher. Draw your own conclusion :)

Funny, we use ISIS and we can still add EAN's in store. In fact I do it quite regularly. With Woolworths cutting hours I don't have time to be on hold for half an hour just to tell the snobs to add an EAN.

Stupid rude customer today. I had clocked out because it was the end of my shift, and as usual I picked up a few things to take home. I went down one Aisle and was looking at the spice rack, and this customer came down the Aisle, and even though there was enough room on the other side to fit 10...

Hah you guys think it's going to be tough giving tea breaks for four hours? Our new agreement states that you get a 10 minute break for a 2 hour shift!

See with all these numbers, I don't think our store follows the same format. For example: I am 108, another 2IC is 132, another 2IC is 2424. The SM is 709, our SSM is 515, my department manager is 101, whereas one of our duty managers is 7918 So as you can see our numbers are all over the...

Yeah, pretty sure. We have the Symbol/Motorola MC3000's Brick and Gun configurations. And I assume it's the same software becaues whenever I do a Cold Boot (9+1+Off) it comes up with the old Woolies Aussie logo. What PyroTek said, you need to make sure the percentage is on 00, which ours is...
