in a related event, i just saw on the news about how one of the favourites for gold in some gymnastic event (a girl) almost didn't make it to the olympic team, not for her lack of skill, but for her crooked teeth. it was not until someone paid for her teeth to get fixed before she was allowed...
im doing a 4 minute speech atm, and its 650 words max. thats because ive memorised it fully. for a 5min speech, its usually 800 max. you dont want to go over that or you'll be going to fast. but i guess its different for everyone. why don't you just time yourself and see?
i dont like how the protagonist of ff13 is going to be female. its weird, because i just cant fully immerse myself into a game when i cant make myself believe that im the player.
yeh the guy was annoying. and lol at the last part, when everyone was waiting to go, he was like "now i need to finish reading this. Thank you for coming..." =.=
yeh i was scribbling out (eliminatign) choices a lot. that might have been me. were you in 1:30 time slot? coz there was a chick that just WOULD NOT stop clearing her throat. i could not concentrate at all.
thats good. i was weighing the pros and cons between x360 and ps3. a big plus for the ps3 was the region free games and i was just about to buy, until i read somebody say that he imported the mgs4 but had restricted online access or something
but ps2 games still have region restrictions right?
i heard that even though the ps3 is region-less for games, that the regions apply for online game playing. can anyone validate this? if it's true, does it just mean that i will play with say, the US players, or that i cannot go online at all?
i completely agree. i find it so annoying when fanboys and girls are like "ohhh emm gee! Harry potter is like the best. Rowling is my god. nothing can compare to it. ohhh emm gee!" when the HP series are the only novels they have read
fine, i exaggerate, but it is offensive to some. How do you distinguish between many and some?
admittedly, i've never read about those laws. But i assum those laws regarding terrorism and stuff are under the 'security' category. The issue about freedom of expression here has got nothing to...
i do see where your coming from. Your comment about the Iranian president. He was condemned for his, such as was the cartoonist. And that is fair. I'm not saying i agree with what the cartoonist did. Similarly, there are also many blasphemous acts against other religions daily. There is...
Your opinions are also extremely offensive to many. And, you are also purposefully offending many. Yet, this is my point, it is your opinion and you have a right to express it. Did the cartoonist kill anybody by expressing his opinion? Not that i know of. However, ask yourself this, did anyone...
i just want to point out that "publishing that image which would inevitaby have evoked an unfavourable response and disgust amongst muslims" or any minority group isn't wrong, no matter how offensive it is to that group, so long as it abides by the law. everyone has a right to express their...
Why gays haven't died out by now? I mean, they can't reproduce, and by Darwin's survival of the fittest, there shouldn't be any gays. Being gay does not give you any advantage in passing your genes. Baffling.
the list of sins have kind of cemented my atheism. before i was kind of in limbo between a christian and a sceptic (ive been reading a tonne of stuff on existentialism and stuff like that due to damned english and Transformations). but really man, pollution a sin? its so laughable that i wanna puke
