    Brian Greene's "Elegant Universe"

Caught the SBS series and loved it. Another great read is 'Quantum', by Jim Al-Khalili. It's outside the scope of the HSC course but is still definitely worth a peek.

WHERE ARE YOU UP2? (take 3)

Nah, man. I'd say get used to it. When it comes down to it, your brain's sorta your last line of defence in all this. Laziness might get you by now, but eventually you'll find youself in a situation where the calc just won't cut it and all that's left is your capacity to think your way out.

    In-class Hamlet/RAGAD essay next Mon!

To anyone who's studied Hamlet in conjunction w/ RAGAD, or has any sorta knack for in-class essays, I could really use your help! I'm due to sit the task on Mon 14th. I'm allowed to conduct as much preparation as I want, and I'll be listening to a couple of audio recordings from both plays on...

How do I simplify i to the i?

Is it peculiar that I've spent a term plumbing the depths of Complex Numbers and have never heard of a Euler's theorum. I've been using a couple of Patel's publications as references and the said theorum has failed to present itself as yet. Please shed some light on this.

    Which option should I choose?

How do you mean stable? You mean that the BOS tailors question diffuculty to canditature size, or that popular options are subject to better scaling? (I was pretty sure scaling was only applied to whole subject outcomes, rather than parts thereof, but I'm just trying to understand what you mean)

    Which option should I choose?

Thanks heaps George! I've taken your e-mail address down so I'll be in touch for sure! And, yes, I have developed a taste for both sciences. I couldn't say, for certain, whether I'd carry them into my tertiary studies, but I certainly haven't ruled either of them out. I just don't know what...

Balance of payments and other stuff i am dying on

Yeah, what without wings said, but also, I can brief you on what you need to know... 1. Globalisation - characterised by trade liberalisation and exposure to global capital/financial markets. Just this should tell you that every category in the Balance of Payments will be affected. Access to...

    Which option should I choose?

Yeah, but... Thanks for the pointers George! A couple of questions, though... I've learned that the option, "Shipwrecks, Corrosion and Conservation" involves a substantial number of first-hand practical investigations. Because I'm supposed to be "making up" an option due to the transfer of...

    Which option should I choose?

I've recently transferred schools and, for some reason, have been granted the discretion to actually choose, myself, the Physics and Chem options I'm to undertake. At first I thought this sounded cool, but, perusing the syllabuses and weighing each topic against the others, I've been hard...

number of hours study per day

Study - who needs it? I've found the best pathology for maximising results to be diversification of lifestyle. Studying incessantly won't do anything for you unless you feel good in yourself, and the ticket to feeling good in yourself is to harmonise all aspects of your life - not merely study...
