    For english, try to get top mark essays and use them as a guide to formulate your own essays. Adequate resources should be provided by the teacher.

    CSSA Business Studies

    i dont think mine was a CSSA paper, but I received: 16/20 36/40 (Could have received 39, if the marker accepted "generalised" answers for advantages and disadvantages :argue: ) 19/20 20/20 2nd highest. So close to first yet so far.

    Executive Summary/Report Overview Point 1 Point 2 Point 3 etc. Summary of recommendations/Conclusion - SWOT Analysis - Put ONLY if relevant to the question - Recommendations - Using three. Depends on the question

    - They appear on under the Principal Focus - You need to link the syllabus dot points to the theme and challenge - the trend so far is that the extended response questions are based on a 'theme and challenge' and/or effectiveness

    CSSA Business Studies

    Different teachers will have different opinions on the Section IV format. When they are marking in the HSC, they will probably allow both formats. I went to a business lecture held by two of the authors of Business Focus, both recommended an "Essay with headings"

    Use the indicators under the chapter 'effectives of human resource management' in Human Resources. Go through each dot point in the syllabus and make a judgement on whether it is effective

    Tuition Hours per Week

    For most subjects its good to have a tutor go through, by either reinforcing concepts that you don't understand or giving you a headstart on the topic. It is a way to get a competitive advantage though. However, some students see tutoring as a magic wand to success, and its not.
