    umat ticket

Haha, poor thing. Just when your sights are set on an Arts(Political Science)/Law @ USyd. But then again, you're attempting it due to asian parents, and it has NO implication for your future, whereas I am pissing myself with nervousness so to speak, over this stupid multiple choice exam. :p

    Private Schools?

Our head of English came from Reddam, and apparently our school went up 80-70 places if I remember correctly, for the last 2 years. Which is really brilliant. These rankings are intended to be stable haha. Why Sefton's principal? As for Ascham, yes that'd make sense. Ascham does alright...

    Private Schools?

This is somewhat true. But even then, I know a lot of people who attend local selective schools because, frankly they can't be bothered to wake up at 5am each morning to travel for an hour and a half, and they're given the opportunity to do just as well.. Myself included. :) Yes, a lot of...

Have you started studying for trials?

That's the most craziest thing ever. I've done some 3u math papers and some 4u math papers (the latter is somewhat terrible at times). Some is not a lot btw. Procrastinating a bit too much... had to catch up with notes for 2 modules of chem *yuck* and yeah, same for physics.

    Differentiaton of Log help

ln [x + sqrt(x^2+k)] You just differentiate the inside and divide it by [x + sqrt(x^2+k)] i.e. the form of f'(x)/f(x) ln (x - 1/x) Apply log laws, where ln (a/b) = ln(a) - l(b) ln [2x^3 sqrt (3-2x)] It's also f'(x)/f(x), but this time you've got to use product rule as well. ln [3x^2 sqrt...

    Frankenstein/BladeRunner

Wow, I never knew that happened. :\ I hate open book anyway, I don't tend to touch my book any time during the exam per se. So long as I get the gist of the argument, it should be fine.

How many sugars do you put in your Tea?

Such tea would be absolutely cutting edge. Gives you a phenomenally sharp taste. You'll be asking for more, you know it.

    Choosing HSC subjects

Well you can be idealistic all you want now, but ATAR 99.5+ is going to be lots of hard work in senior high school, seeing as that's really the only prerequisites. I'm kind of surprised that in wanting to do law, you haven't elected any social sciences.. But Latin, Math Ext 2, Eng Ext 1, is...

Which source of knowledge is superior

I suppose in the sense of a philosopher or a scientist, then empirical evidence is superior.. But this being said, it's crucial that we are able to extract ourselve so to speak, from our physical environment, and make new advances and deductions mentally. In this day and age, I would suppose...

    Private Schools?

Yes, while we smoke we can revel in our state school peasantry. It's not our fault our school only ranks in the top ten. :p
