its not to late, the stuff you do in prelim ext1 math isn't really that hard at all, just takes some practice and getting use to when you get a tutor, make sure they go through the topics or parts you don't understand

depends what else you're going to be using it for if you're not going to be gaming, buy a Mac book Pro or something along the lines of that only buy a netbook if you can handle the small keyboard and screen

since your not given any info on weather x is >0 or <0 this is a problem because if you move negatives the sign will change (<,>,=<,=>) so to take the problem away, multiply both sides by the denominator squared
