Yep 5 supporters are required to register a channel. Once I have 5 supporters registered they need to go connect to irc.oz.org server and login with the account they created at aucs.oz.org. you login by typing >> /msg z@channels.oz.org login <username> <password> << (without the <> obviously)...

Its far easier to spam on IRC. It's a chat program like MSN but there are channels (chat-rooms) that you go in and you see everyone who is in it and everyone can see what you say. Don't need to invite people to join like on MSN. It's far more convenient.

I don't think many are rural. Rural means farming. I think you mean regional. Regional means any town that is not a city/metropolitan area. Armidale is a regional town but it is not a rural town.
