Most Common & Random Forms of Procrastination (2012)

I think it's best to have a useful form of procrastination. There was this one guy who became productive THROUGH procrastination, it was on an article somewhere, so trippy, he had this awful task to do and so procrasinated that by doing all these other things that comparatively were better...

Software Design & Development Marathon [2012]

The option topic being a language you choose, I like that. The MC thing wouldn't work as well though, because people would just not study for it and just instead study for the SDD thing. I'd say as it is it's alright, just get more programming into it, from like the 15% it is more to 40%+

Software Design & Development Marathon [2012]

I guess it's mainly because people figure it should have more on the 'design' side, with actual programming, which is what they came for, as opposed to the focus on the whole development cycle. Not necessarily a bad thing though. This is just what people in my class complain about.

Software Design & Development Marathon [2012]

Software Design & Development Marathon [2012]

Reverse engineering involves the breaking down of a software solution in order to understand how it works, and as such often breaches the intellectual property rights of the original software developers as others may develop similar products. This may lead to a lack of profits for the software...

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

This. The majority of people who would be active on forums talking about the HSC, and go post on them happily about their marks are from selective schools, generally would be a top student probably doing 4u, and have done well in the test. So it's hard to judge by the posts on this thread or...

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

notsureifsrs or trolling? You're underestimating how poorly people do in maths. In my opinion, this was JUST LIKE last year's. Both years had relatively easy last questions and a standard throughout the paper. The cut off will remain around 50. They don't change that much. Also the scaling is...

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

As a hard-working student, the harder the test, the better. You should be celebrating. Disappointed with BOS, first Eco...now this. The easy questions should have been easier, and the harder questions should have been harder. way to not 'differentiate'.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

67/70. Q14 wasn't THAT hard. Disappointed in the papers for 3u and 4u this year in that there was no crazy shit at the end. there should always be crazy shit at the end of a maths paper. and by crazy shit I mean stuff like almost no one gets.

    2012 Solutions -- Terry Lee

The equation gave you the displacement of x. The particle was at the origin. therefore, x= 0. Fairly pleased.

    Talking to yourself during exams

Yeah, I always do this for any subject which requires thinking, Eco, Maths SDD etc. But almost silently.
