UNSW highschool computing course - HS1917

I did hs1917 when I was in year 10, and I found it quite challenging - I had no prior experience with programming. But it was also quite rewarding. Things you should know before you start - you'll be watching four hours of lectures each week and attending a tutorial of about 3 hours? (even...

    Who thinks they state ranked?

At least two days before the HSC results come out I'd say, the ceremony is usually (?) the day before the results come out.

    Impact of DET laptops

I admittedly got quite distracted while using them in year 11, but in year 12 I focused on school more, thankfully. After they were unlocked I dual-booted it with Ubuntu and is all good, faster. Although I played with Windows a bit, is a fair bit faster than it was before.

What to eat before a test?

I get too nervous to eat much for fear I'll be sick during the exam, so I usually go for plain crackers and milk. Seems to work fine, although my stomach absolutely growls during the last hour.

Software Design & Development Marathon [2012]

Ohey, I don't know who you are! But then again it's not that hard to find out who I am, is it :P And yes, certainly sarcasm. I came across VB 6 on the school desktops at school and was shocked (not even .NET). At least my school will have python programmers left, had a bunch do the NCSS...

Ohey there! I don't know how the Hornsby kids went, I imagine that most of them passed at the very least. As for the awards ceremony, earlier is better than later, right? :P I've been good, HSC nearly over and whatnot :D (I just have physics tomorrow and then I'm done and dusted with the thing...

    Co-op scholarhip

Minimum ATAR is 96 without bonus points, and you only have to attend one interview :) (it says this on their site somewhere). As for the one without the rural tag, I'd assume that's just a plain co op. But regardless, one interview only. Congratulations :)
