    Is it? maths?

There are quite a few degrees that have 2U maths as assumed knowledge. For example, a Bachelor of Business & Information Technology at UNSW. (also, http://www.unsw.edu.au/future-students/domestic-undergraduate/assumed-knowledge)

Who accelerated subjects and when? Just curious !!

I did accelerated IPT last year. Since I have two units less to worry about, that's always a good thing. :) It's good, I have more frees and time to allocate towards the other subjects. Especially useful because of needing to do lots of work for 4U maths.

    BoSers exposed.

Yep! The nickname for HGHS students is either 'Brown Cows' or 'Potato Sacks'. I'm not sure which one I prefer...although I do prefer potatoes to cows, so I suppose I prefer Potato Sacks. Starchy goodness.

    BoSers exposed.

My female cousins had the option to go to Cheltenham Girls (this was about 20 years ago). Apparently they declined because of the pink uniforms, and went to Marsden High instead. For some reason, I found that hilarious.

What time do you guys sleep on a school night?

I usually sleep between 12 - 1am. But when I've been stuck finishing group assignments, can be up to 3am.

    low atar scores.

Sounds about right :D http://www.uac.edu.au/documents/atar/2011_HSC_Table%20A7.pdf The UAC publishes reports on the ATAR and HSC scaling every year, they're quite interesting (or maybe that's just me): http://www.uac.edu.au/undergraduate/atar/reports.shtml

    TUTOR KIDDIES

I get intimidated by people at my school who are tutored without good reason. (note - > 80% get tutoring for something, I'd say - and most of them don't even need it) I still do well and get good ranks, but it's caused me many a nervous breakdown by looking at how many people will have done...

    Half Yearly Results Thread

Woo, everything went better than expected 8D Economics - 53/60 - which was the top mark, surprisingly. I didn't think it'd be that 'low'. English - 22/25 - yay, much better than expected (as my weakest subject) 4U Maths - 50/50 - ditto! 3U Maths - 53/55 - still not enough for top ;( 2U...

Glad you're finding it fun! I had fun, too, but was pretty stressed when I did it. I completed it in 2010, and hs1917 then was a bit different to yours. Nonetheless, I think they're both quite challenging. :) The huge amount of work and frustration involved can be demotivating at times, but I...

    Differentiation Curve Sketching

A definite quadratic means that it does not have real roots, i.e. it does not touch or intersect the x-axis (thus, Δ < 0). A positive definite means that its concavity is positive (faces upwards) and always has positive y-values. (and f''(x) > 0). A negative definite is where a quadratic's...

What time do you guys wake up for school?

On days with frees first period - ~8.30am :D Else - 7.20am. 7.30am if I'm lazy and want to run around the house like a chicken, trying to get ready in time for the bus.

I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't try to learn the names of people in the other groups. :( There's quite a big difference, yes. But don't let that discourage you! :D Also, lucky, no SDD for me. Not enough demand. Silly girl schools. In any case, the NCSS Challenge is much more...intellectually...

I don't know who you are! ;-; Don't worry about being stalkerish, I understand. >:D The advanced python stream was difficult, but rewarding. So very rewarding. It also chewed up a lot of my time, so I'm not sure that I'll do it again this year (I know that I won't be able to focus on...
