How similar is the film "Frankenstein" to the book by Mary Shelley

The book is at least. (I know it's nerdy but I don't care :P) I've read it twice and it can be really interesting. I don't know if this is what you go into in EX1 (as I haven't started it yet), but it raises interesting concepts on belonging and existance, as well as morality and responsibility...

Insanity! lol. No, cause although the Year 11 course looks not great, the HSC course looks pretty good. And I want to do architecture and/or engineering at uni so it'd be helpful. But I spose mainly because it was a backup incase the Extensions or Modern or something turned out bad. Did year 11...

Should be fun, though my enthusiasm is burning slowly away the closer the beginning of the year gets. The only thing I'm worried about is Physics. Some of the syllabus looks good, other bits look crap... infact most looks crap. But meh. Ifs its too shitty I'll just drop it. :P The only other bad...

Just reinforcing what others have said; the maths exam is mainly logic, basic logic. The only real way to make mistakes in it is through stupid little errors, reading the question wrong, thinking you've finished when you've only done two-thirds of the test (as one of my friends did), that kind...

how do you achieve band 6's in the school certificate?

^^^VERY VERY VERY TRUE One thing I did in History was summerise. In History you will learn a SHIT LOAD of stuff on women and aborginal rights, as well as the Cold War. I summerised what we did in class to a tenth of the size of what was in my work book, focusing on essential things and...

how do you achieve band 6's in the school certificate?

English: Work from year 10 Science: Virtually only work from year 10 History: Year 10 only Geo: Being alive prior to the test surmounts Maths: A tad of work from each year, though mainly just basic logic I think that answers the question. :P

Oh, another thing that I found good was getting into a routine of getting HM done when you get it; relieves stress and staying up to 2 am finishing assignments (extremely annoying). And in the three or so weeks leading up to the sc exams (trials if you fell the need) do past papres online. :D

Hey Koolkid. The only textbook I found very valuable in the SC was the Excel Science Handbook Years 9-10. It covers everything but most helpfully it is extremely easy to find the info you're looking for. If you want reasurance I'd recommend it. :P Apart from that the thing I'd say (along with...

Who is ready for yr 11?

Mmmm. Me too, I think I've spent all my happy-about-year-eleven-ness now. How sad. Though I still get spazms of joy when I realise I'll never have to do PE again. JOYJOYJOYJOYJOYJOYJOY!!!!!!!!! Here's a quote from my PE final report: "...( :D )'s level of application towards practical...

    Distance Courses? Are they bearable?

Tad off the Economics topic, but I'm interested in doing the philosophy ditinction course in 2011 (I presume/have heard/read it is a hsc one year course) and I was wondering if the completion of an accelerated course was a prerequisite to Philosophy. If so, what accelerated course would you...

    Did everyone answer everything??

Four of my friends forgot to do a whole quarter of the maths trial exam, but honestly, if you've done well in year 10 in all your class and assessment work, or even if you've just done average, it ultimately doesn't matter even if you wrote I'M STUPID on all your papers; because its your school...

studying for pre-lim when should i start?

If you manage not to procrastinate or perpetually relax start on Chemistry and the English texts. I've started on Prelim Chem and its not that amazingly difficult, and its good to read the Eng texts to farmiliarise yourself with them (covered Shelley and Stoker). I spose it'd be useful to do...

    Distance Courses? Are they bearable?

Awesome! Thank you! I think I might try it out then, or at least inquire further. It'd be that over physics, which I'm not that fussed about. :P I reckon I'd be ok cause I like working at my own pass (a little faster than my cohort... with out sounding like a dick). Though is it hard to keep...

    Distance Courses? Are they bearable?

I'm in year 10 and have already chosen my prelim subjects, though still have the opportunity to change them if I wish. I was thinking about doing Economics, though if I did, I'd have to do it by distance. Anyone have any good advice about distance courses (any subject) and whether or not they...
