    Help!!! Literature reviews

In essence you look for dichotomies, links, contradictions, etc. between articles and sum up what the author is saying. So: In the literature it is recognised that a dichotomy exists between x and y because x is not prominent in y. Kat92(2013) suggests that x has traditionally...

Analysis and Discussion This is where you ‘bring it all together’. You interpret and analyse the results explaining why the results came out the way they did, and what this means in regard to the research question/s or hypothesis. Some of your results and findings may support your hypothesis...

    Help IRP

Case studies/ observation are subjective and do not provide enough evidence to apply the results to the general population. Also, your bias may transcend into the final results which can skew them. Surveys are in-personal and based on scales like "strongly agree" "strongly disagree" etc. Most...

IRP How to Guide- For those of you that like step by step instructions.

Unfortunately I don't; besides it all depends upon the marker and the set criteria as well. From memory I think a couple of the IRPs here: http://www.boredofstudies.org/view.php?course=35 included a report if you wanted to have a look. They may not be the greatest in the world but they provide...

    Dropping CAFS?

As Drifiting has pointed out ATAR calculators and scores at the end of the day are not the end of the world! There are always going to be other pathways to get where you want to go in life. :) If you are considering sociology or the likes perhaps stick with it, as CAFS does provide a good...

    Dropping CAFS?

I think the question you really need to ask is what sort of job are you looking at doing in the future? If it involves some form of community or government interaction, I would say perhaps stick with CAFS. Otherwise, if you believe that you can devote that time to your other subjects and ace...

IRP How to Guide- For those of you that like step by step instructions.

How to Structure a Literature Review- A literature review gives an overview of the area of study: what has already been said on the topic; who the key writers are; what the prevailing theories and hypotheses are; what questions are being asked; and what methodologies are appropriate and useful...

    CAFS 2013 Paper Solutions

Okay my thoughts for the ones you asked for: 15- A (as the others don't detail housing) 17- B (as a case study compiles the research from different sources and the publication can vary over large lengths of time) 18- D (would be the better response in my opinion) 20- Can’t answer as there is...

    I.R.P. Home

Yes you can still go about it. Although, you need a much larger spread of people to survey, 13 people is not enough to gain an insight into the diversity of the population.

HELP!!! I need an IRP topic!!!

Page 27 of the syllabus could help. Essentially, you would look under section 8.2 and 8.3 of the syllabus. Maybe you could draw upon the dotpoint of diversity i.e. you could perhaps say: Teenage Pregnancy highlights the diverse nature of family units along with their functions within...

    I.R.P. Home

It's entirely up to you which way you go with the IRP- what do you feel most comfortable with?? With any IRP topic there will always be some form of bias to contend with and you should indicate this to the marker when writing about the methodologies that you utilised.
