    Depends, how you interpret what they're thinking. They could be "ummm... is he a good guy or a bad guy or something" and you could think they don't want to talk to you so you leave feeling pissed.

    In my personal experience Asians tend to be more reserved and they don't warm up to people they are not comfortable with. I know some people who are too "defensive" and when you try to engage in conversation, they either ignore you or just say a few words. I'm Chinese and I quite like to think...

    pfft... who needs earphones. get headphones- more comfortable, sound is more fluid and in my opinion it does not break that easily (depends how you treat it)

    True... but it's the North Shore (Gordon/Hornsby area) and how many private schools with rich snobby kids are there (it is like a breeding ground for private schools)? I accept some people may have it tougher than others because of financial situations. Unless you have been there/ lived there...

    Pitch- key, countour, register etc Duration- length of each note etc Texture- layers, thick/thin, high/low etc. etc Structure- ternary/binary, ABABA etc Tone Colour- what sound is made from the instruments, how is it played, what can you listen? etc. etc Dynamics- tempo, sound markings etc. etc...

    Mandarin vs Japanese

    Japanese ftw!! I can't wait to re-learn the language after HSC. :D Not fluently but understand enough to communicate and watch anime/dramas unsubbed I've found Mandarin hard to learn but simple to speak.

    Subjects for Year 11

    Obviously, for starters think about which subject areas you are confident and know you will enjoy. Because, I assume you are a maths/science person or just doing them for scaling. Enjoyment of the subject goes a long way to doing well in the HSC. Good luck!! :karate:
