I don't think there is really any difference between private and public in terms of quality of education. Sure there are better resources but if kids aren't conditioned to study and haven't been taught the value of education as a means of success and furthering themselves then those resources...

Don't feel so down, you can always go to TAFE. :) Just joking, that handwriting is alright, from what my English teacher (she is in a HSC marking supervisor position) said is that if the writing is hard to read they will take their time and type it up as a word document then mark it from there.

I don't understand how you could make a generic essay as they can specify parts of the text.

It was someone looking at their great grandfather or further back in time ie great great grandfather etc

They count all of it. When you think about it logically if that was the case then all students would just pick two sections they were best at and not even attempt the third one.
