Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

I'm feeling pretty great at the moment man. Enjoying my units so far (MBLG calculations may be annoying but the content, despite challenging, is pretty engaging) and most of the lecturers are really good (especially Organic Chemistry ermagherd so much passion). Seeing old friends, meeting new...

    Trial Discussion Thread.

Damn how I miss the trial days, no stress (seriously) :( The period between the conclusion of trials and HSC and the HSC itself is even better too.

Who wants to pull an all nighter with me?

Maths all-nighters aren't so bad imo. Ingest caffeine at life-threatening amounts, take a sub-zero shower before the exam and move around a lot. And always remember: #yolo

    What are you currently Reading?

Diary of the crazy old man - Junichiro Tanizaki Going to move on to a whole compilation of poetry and prose fiction composed by Christina Rossetti, which I'm looking forward to and possibly thinking of buying 'Sense and Sensibility' or 'Pride and Prejudice' (by Jane Austen for those of you who...

Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread 2013

Assuming this is for MATH1003, I would HIGHLY suggest otherwise regarding what you're thinking of doing. I'm in the 8 am class and the lecturer , has very little idea of what he is actually saying. He constantly "Umm"'s and easily loses track of what he is saying. I have been to Dr Crossman's...

Who wants to pull an all nighter with me?

Admiring the diligence. Is that why I've seen you online at 3 in the morning these past days? ;) (obligatory yes)

Who wants to pull an all nighter with me?

I think we've received enough rainfall, Live. I enjoy the sunny yet cool days we are offered these days. Just fabulous. And rain is only awesome when you're inside imo hehe. Dr, should probably reconsider all-nightering. Really not doing yourself any favours. Something with a contradictory...

Year 11 2013 Chit Chat Thread

Why is physics not on par? Is it because you dislike it? You don't put enough effort into it? etc etc Also, how do you manage your time? Maybe you haven't managed your time well enough to provide sufficient effort for physics.

Year 11 2013 Chit Chat Thread

If I were in your position, I would actually keep it until the half yearlies in year 12 then look at my performance to see whether it is a good idea to drop it or not. You never know, you could do better in the year 12 course and it's always good to have a back-up subject.

Year 11 2013 Chit Chat Thread

Optimistically, you could compare your situation to the year 12s who are about to confront their trials in ~2 weeks so it's not too bad :) (as enoilgam mentioned) Break up study sessions to manageable bits - study for 2 hours, go for a 15 minute jog, another 2 hours..rinse and repeat. You'll do...
