    Same hahahaha. gg

    General Thoughts: Physics

The photocell wasn't a curveball. It was just insanely stupid to put it in the syllabus as something that cannot include a solar cell as an example.

    General Thoughts: Physics

Well she had a look at the paper months before it was released, and thus knew the marking guidelines beforehand. I called her and she said solar cells are fine to use and I won't get penalised for it

    General Thoughts: Physics

The head of James Ruse Science confirmed that the solar cell can be used in the description of the photocell. Since she said the solar cell is a type of photocell.

    Multiple Choice

    E = V/d You're graphing E on the y-axis and d on the x-axis let E = y and d = x Hence y = V/x where V is constant Therefore it is a hyperbola

    Multiple Choice

    That's a hyperbola

The only mark I can possibly get is 1 for mentioning the photoelectric effect :'( There goes the potential raw 90

    General Thoughts: Physics

This is where I got my information from. I can't believe photocells apparently involve the cathode ray tube. Both answers are correct imo. And if a reliable source like Jacaranda is wrong, the HSC markers should accept both answers

    General Thoughts: Physics

This is what the Jacaranda textbook says about photocells, why are solar cells wrong to mention? A photocell is a device that uses the photoelectric effect. These devices include photovoltaic, or solar cells, which convert electromagnetic energy, such as sunlight, into electrical energy. Other...

    Dat circle geo

Do you still think that deserves 1/3 since the first statement is correct in completing the proof?
  20. MATHmaster

    Dat circle geo

How many marks will I lose if I assume it's a straight line? I used alternate angles for angle qbt and angle pat and the other two, then 'proved' it was collinear. Can I get 2/3?
