    100 UAI = around 20 students Each 0.05 increment downwards = around 40 people in each increment.

    That's generally the range I would stick to when estimating a raw mark for a band 6 cutoff in 2 unit maths. The raw marks go through alignment, where the examiners will set a mark cutoff for certain bands in the HSC exams, depending on how they feel the mark is representative of the student's...

    If that was the case, it'd be a lot easier to do that than memorise the integral of arcsin x. After doing the question a few times it just stuck in my head.

    did i make the right decision

    We had one class doing that and we got 4 people out of 25 doing extension 2 this year. And 2 of them accelerated extension 1 maths in year 11 instead of 2 unit. But it really depends on whether or not you plan to do extension 2 maths.

    I take it you don't know integration by parts? Well, if I remember correctly, the indefinite integral of sin-1x is xsin-1x + sqrt(1-x2) + constant, usually they would give a sort of a lead in question to help you find the integral of arcsin x, since I dont think that it is possible to integrate...
