    Working up to B psych

Re: questions re: UAI and psychology Yeah, obviously. Just pointing out that your hallowed university is not unique when requiring honours for postgraduate entrance, which dolbinau did not mention or know in their post. Somebody's cranky today ;). Chill out, it's only the internet.

    Good so far, actually.

    Working up to B psych

Re: questions re: UAI and psychology A post graduate degree at UWS such as a Masters ALSO requires Honours or a Postgraduate diploma or a 4 year Psychology undergrad degree (which the BA/Bsc - Psych at MQ is not.)

    friends with benefits

x2. Someone usually ends up feeling rejected, used or with feelings for the other person - sometimes all three. It's nice otherwise, though I wouldn't do it with someone I didn't know very well.

    Question about psychology at UWS

Yeah, both the schools of Psychology at MQ and UWS are pretty strong. But people will always want to go to Sydney for the "oldness" of their school and the sandstone buildings lol - that aint my thing.

    Best University Atmosphere

UOW says it's near the coast in the radio ads I keep on hearing. UTS = Ugliest Tower in Sydney But seriously, make your choice on the strength of the school your course is offered in and what layout style it has. Who bothers to spend time on campus unless you have a class that day, anyway?

    Social Science at UWS?

    Social Science at UWS?

Yeah I totally hear you! What degree are you doing? I compared my psych stuff to a friend in BPsych at UNSW and there was so much similar stuff :P

    Question about psychology at UWS

Yeah, some parts of introductory psych subjects can be very dry, but some parts are very interesting such as Social Psych, Psychopathology, Developmental and stuff like that. The lecturers and tutors really help to liven things up with real world examples and interactive lectures with videos and...

    Confused: UNSW or UWS??

Ok, some of you 08'ers are fucking retards, honestly. I'll bold some of the parts so you people can comprehend it, ok? Marks. Count. More. Than. PRESTIGE!!!! Fucking hell, I have to type out my story everytime I see posts like these because I hate seeing people bag UWS - WHICH IS ACCREDITTED...

    Uni offers

I'm in an arts degree at UWS and study with a lot of people doing their M teaching as well. You don't get any prac work (that I know of) til fourth year, but you do have education related theory subjects. I chose UWS based on their arts subjects, but they don't offer ancient history (which...

    Social Science at UWS?

No problems :). Are you looking to study at Penrith or Bankstown? If Penrith, then I'll see you there! (P.S. If you do Inequality and Human Rights in first semester, I'm selling my textbooks for half price if you or anyone in your course wants them).

    Question about psychology at UWS

I'm doing Arts, majoring in Psychology. I was also offered a BA place at Macquarie but turned it down as I found the program as UWS more straight forward than Mac's and have a mentor who has just completed the same degree at UWS (applying for honours currently). If you're looking to combine...

    Social Science at UWS?

Yeah so true! I'm so glad some people are getting the message about the crap "prestige" debate. I'd much rather be at UWS and get awesome marks, than be barely passing at USyd or something. Not to mention I live on the outskirts of Sydney, UWS is just over an hour drive away and it's the closest...

    swimming + makeup = ?

^ugh I hate those girls too! Such posers. I worked yesterday and was babysitting some kids swimming...got a massive splash to the face and the mascara bled all over my face ugh lol. Anyway, at the beach or swimming I just wear sunscreen (don't forget to put it on!) a bit of powder to control...

    Do you get Superannuation?

I get super occasionally, but I have to change accounts because my super account is eaten up by fees lol.

    Which Tafe for these subjects

Yeah I know, I was a TPC student. They do have different names, but some of the content is different as well. I did Biology A and B in my TPC, and some of the stuff in it hasn't been in the HSC Bio syllabus for years (my mum is a Biology teacher, so we compared notes lol). Anyway, TAFE is a...

    Social Science at UWS?

I personally don't understand the UWS hate. They're obviously accredited to be able to offer the degree...I think it comes from being a "new" university. When my parents were at uni they were ridiculed for attending Macquarie instead of Sydney, yet both ended up becoming successful...go figure...
