    you should make a band 6 then. saying there is a cut off mark for band 6 in the exam is idiotic because the exam is 50% so if you did really well in assessments and the rest of your school also did pretty good in yesterday's exam you'll get a band 6. just try not to worry about this stuff :)...

    well whether or not you get a band 6 depends on your assessment mark. from what others have been posting, my guess is that 80-83 will align to a low 90s / borderline 90s exam mark but your assessment makes a fairly big difference to your over band

    you made a silly mistake on 11.b) it should be 3 not 2.5 also in 15.b) x^2 = (2 - sqrt(y))^2 you should have taken both the positive and negative roots when you square rooted it at the start and then subbed values to see that only the negative square root is valid. for example, sub (0,4)...

    to be honest after rounding i think the stats will show 0% of the candidacy will get 4/4 for that question. i know of 1 person who noticed this during the exam hall and that's coming from a selective high (penrith as it may).

    i thought this was correct until now but i have been informed by a friend who just checked it that technically it's (2 +/- rooty)^2 and if you sub values you will find that the correct answer is x^2 = (2-sqrt(y))^2 = (4 - 4sqrt(y) + y)

    no, it was sinx = 7sqrt(3)/26. the question explicitly stated find the exact value of sinx. that is as simple as it goes.
