yeah. I said favourable XD um. I meant that's the first practice unseen I've done of my own volition THIS YEAR. :P that's stupid. because it's what I do. :( and because in exams like this I remember where I've gone wrong. and I get hung up on that XD

that *blinks*...wasn't too bad. surprisingly, considering how ill-prepared I was. Olson can attest to that, 15 mins before the exam was the first time I did a practice unseen. XD although, hopefully they don't mark our exams like our teacher does. XD hm...dammit. kainon means new. and Olson...

English sucked. well, one section did. no, I'm not excited. nor ready. XD my brain exploded sometime earlier this year. I hear they're still finding pieces in the exam room where it happened. and when it's over? I will start studying for 4-unit maths. XD

um. Ki, your first one: I believe the "auton" refers to Demosthenes. so the subject of "punthanomenos" is Cleon, and "auton" refers to Demosthenes to indicate a different person. I have 30.3, "hws ep' axiochrewn" as "as for a matter of importance." iste. and I believe that statistics also...

Porsenna is a dactyl? you mean, Porsenna goes "long short short"? huh?? that's not possible unless we're meant to elide "Porsenn(a) iubebat". which I thought didn't happen since the "i" acts as a consonant there. and for the same reason I thought it was "e/iec/tum", pronounced "e-yec-tum".

Classical Greek Cont. & Ext. Class of 07

oh. too many to count. oh crap. I'd forgotten about scansion, should revise it. hmmmm. what I would have said is "dixit, deinde lacu fluvius se condidit alto" Dactyl, D, D, S, D, S but I thought the -us of fluvius has to be short?

ask me what? and no, I haven't played Civilisations. I don't like that sort of game. heh. our Trial Journeys question was, "Do you perceive journeys as having the power to transform us by offering an insight into ourselves and the world around us?" in your answer refer to....blah blah...

Classical Greek Cont. & Ext. Class of 07

Civ? as in, Civilisations? and there's so much said that I've lost track of what the questions were. heh. I'm not going to say you won't have a problem getting over 99, but it's possible. I mean, look at some of the people in our year who will probably get over 99... and they, the poor...

Olson: I already dropped it! *shakes head* excuse me, I like being out of the centre of attention. like Papa. I'm just a little more scathing than him. :) and unfortunately, being smarter does not automatically translate into a high UAI. sad thing about the HSC...

who made that rule??? (ie, who's so remarkably optimistic that they expected us to ever abide by it? :P) I'm trying for Commerce/Law at Sydney.

Classical Greek Cont. & Ext. Class of 07

I thought I said, drop it? and excuse me, as far as I remember, he said that you and Ross were the attention seekers, and I was occasionally. and that Michael never was.

Classical Greek Cont. & Ext. Class of 07

Ross didn't do our Greek Ext Trial. as well as a few others. personal reasons. wow. everyone seems to have been progressing so well XD at this rate my Electra seen passages are going to be as bad as my Trial's. :( oh, and Latin's even worse XD

Classical Greek Cont. & Ext. Class of 07

um. I believe it started when I called Aeneas a wuss. as I do. and Mr Olson took personal offence to my mocking of his hero, his childhood idol, to whom he has built a shrine at home and sacrifices neighbours' puppies on a daily basis to emulate pius Aeneas. topic came up in Greek, Olson...

Julia: "shut down" meaning...uh...I'm struggling to come up with a definition that doesn't involve "shut" or "down". how about, "extremely effective rebuttal (which often hits the recipient on a personal level)"? hm. I'd hate to be your teacher if you do to each other what Ross and Nick do to...

yeah, don't we get a fine for false alarms? yes. that is indeed saying something. and I think Gareth said he topped the state in Aus Geo, so... I'm pretty sure Dr Stevens said it was a two-toothed sheep, not goat. but whatever the case is, never has there been such an "oh, snap!!!" worthy...

@Julia: *blinks* I didn't even notice the lights, what was so cool about them? @Zara: we have to pay the firefighters if they come for false alarms anyway...I forget how much. (Nick, do you remember?) comes from our school fees XD and I think we've had, in all our time at high school, about 10...

Classical Greek Cont. & Ext. Class of 07

*shrug* hm, the law building is what I disliked most, I thought it looked a little ridiculous. XD yeah, I don't like fire alarms after this year :( used to be good for a bludge, but this year we've had that one during the Virgil assessment, then another one during our Trial for English Paper...

heh, I'm too far away from there to go there on a whim any time soon. I think I'm safe. :P right. I'll assume those two are brothers. little strange if 2 Knox boys randomly lived in your house. *raises eyebrow* *shrug* I didn't like UNSW much anyway. I guess I'm too used to the sandstone :)...
