yeah, as long as he's ranks are super bad and effect him poorly. Don't underestimate how the HSC is marked.. but yeah in reality, if you look at the raw marks it shouldn't be difficult to attain 90+

lol, i don't think that makes sense doesn't every rank have 50 people on it? if i did 1300/73000, i get around top 1.8% but if i did 5940/73000, i get like top 8%, if i calculated yours, you'd be 25,740/73000 = top 35%. how can 90+ atar be that bad ranking percentile wise.

with your subs, why not 99+ :)

yeah so my atar of 98.75, would be around top 1300.

what factors could make the cohort grow by such a large number? only thing i could think of would be international students.. doubt that could make up that significant number.

around 50 i think. i if i recall correctly, every .05 is 50 people.

my bad wording then.. the marks that you get /100 are your aligned marks, the marks /50 are scaled. use the aligned marks and match those up against the database.

the marks you got from the atar calc are scaled.. the marks in the database, show how RAW marks become scaled marks. so you get your SCALED marks from the matrix calc, match them up to the database and find out what raw marks you need. raw marks = the marks you actually get e.g. you get...

lol if you get less than 30, i doubt you'd want to repeat school.. probs just head into the workforce, pick up a trade etc..

wow.. goal of 92 atar, can't follow simple instructions? as the post above says: match up the marks from the database to the marks you got from the calculator.

ATAR ranks you against your year 7 cohort, so it also takes into account everyone who dropped out in year 10 etc.

except those are scaled marks.. and not the actual raw marks. to find that out search "raw marks database" on the forums.

input the atar you want and the subjects your taking, and it gives you the relative marks you need in each.
