    Another way to solve it would be to use the similar polygon ratio. If you prove the simmilarity among the three triangles you can then say that 6:10 = 6^2:10^2 then as you have the area of the middle triangle you can sub it into the ratio.     think about proving that triangles ade and ecb are similar. the areas will be the s^2 for the triangles.

    I'm in the same boat. Arithmetic is hard for me in comparison to widely accepted more "difficult" math. Just use common sense, that is what I will be doing.

    draw a tree diagram of the possible results for 1st spin. Then accumulate the possible results with the next spin. 1-2,5,8 7-14,8,10,11 3-6,7,10,4 4-7,8,11,5 8 is the most frequent and I know I explained that quite badly.

    Isn't tipping off past papers the best way to make sure we know content relative to what we will be doing. $16.5/2 = 8.25 8.25+16.5 = 24.75 24.75*2 + 16.5 = $66
