What about if the person is coming last and gets a mark of 70 while the other person in front gets like 30? what would happen to the assessment mark??

he just said, the person who is ranked first will get the highest external mark therefore..... he doesn't have to do anything in the test....

Actually no, this is because in our trials this wasn't the case a guy in our year came last in business studies and got in his 80s for his test while the other guy ranked above him got in his 40's so that is not the case..

Just wondering say if someone is just passing in maths say getting like 50% do you reackon they can achieve a band 5 or 6 if they studied like 2 hours a maths doing hsc questions and reviewing over there work from this time to the HSC period? what are your thoughts? :)

Say you did come dead last but your mark was in the 60s also go to a well ranked school and you perform well in externals and get say 80, is there still a chance?
