Whats the point of doing a course if you don't even understand anything that there on about? Assumed knowledge is pretty much "prerequisite" if you get what i mean. If you don't fit these assumed knowledge columns, then the course isn't fitted for you unless you do a bridging course.

Did you write numerous essays? The way i improved in English was through writing essays constantly. Exposing myself to all sorts of questions to test my knowledge and understanding of the texts. I went overkill on english before the trials, i remember writing an essay every day in the holidays...
