Looks like they will be including complex numbers, easy conics, mechanics, harder integration, vectors and graphing from the 4U course as well as adding matrices and statistics. So they're keeping a fair chunk of 4U.

Our school gave us three choices: first name, last name or no jersey at all. The only variations allowed were for shortening of first names, eg Pat instead of Patrick (but not Loz instead of Lauren). Clearly my school was where the party was at.

Do you have to drop a subject? You're coming 1st in IPT after all. Also, 4U maths aligns great. Obviously each school is different but I got 61% in my trial and maybe ~70% (at best) for my raw HSC mark and I ended up with a 90.

When you actually start your major work you can post it for viewing by other members and get constructive feedback. There's a few poetry communities online where you can post your work as well - one of them is All Poetry. The quality of reviews will depend on who ends up reading your work but...

I didn't take it quite this far, but I did flat out refuse to learn certain sections of the 4U syllabus because any marks I'd get from those questions in the exam wouldn't be worth the time it'd take me to do them. Gamble paid off very, very well.
