TBH getting Hist Ext sorted out is one of the best things to do over holidays/Term 1...saves you from having to do your whole major work 24 hours before it's due, which isn't really a lot of fun.

If they didn't charge for clerical rechecks, every student in the state would want one because their marks were worse than they expected. This way it's only people who truly think something was wrong with their marks (or are really rich, I guess) and are willing to pay the fee.

Do about 2 hours of school work a week all year. Start studying 48 hours before each exam. ?????? Profit.

Seriously? Most of the first few days of any year is just people running around getting classes sorted and stuff anyway. It will have absolutely no impact except for possibly missing a few "you're in senior school now, 9 hours of study a day is expected" lectures from your teachers.

Yeah, my eco exam mark was 8 below my school assessment mark. I knew that walking out of the exam though, because I was so unprepared and messed up both the essays. I think it was a pretty fair exam though.

IMO it sounds like your school just marked easy for drama...still worth checking it with BOS for your peace of mind though.
