As long as you're consistent with how you apply a 'text type' format, across your response, you should be fine. I don't think the examiners would quibble too much over preferring any particular format.

All you need for Maths is an excel book, and a past papers book. Then you're set. It's all I used anyway, and I didn't do too badly.
