When have two things been referred to as a variety and not a pair? Furthermore, variety usually has the connotation of more then two.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

They won't disregard it, the BOS markers aren't out to rip your balls off. What won't happen, is that two texts will NOT give you an advantage over other students who did one. AND good observation by the poster who noted the contradiction is outcomes assessed + question.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Well, I can't see you getting penalized for doing MORE then what the question required. Those who did two should be marked with both their text in consideration, but, they should not be awarded EXTRA marks due to using both texts.Hence, a great essay on two related text = a good essay on one...

Finished Major Work? Started Reflection Statement?

LOL wtf. Since when are WORDS like "is" "and" not counted to the WORD limit. Some teachers need to be shot, no offense. Fix that shit up. You may get away with going over the word limit by 20 or 30 at max, but 1000 ? Do you like to get penalized?

Odd question from a Yr 11 student.

Acceptable as long as you can provide clear links with either your extension or advanced course - preferably, the major focus should be on something derived and expanded upon from your studies in English Extension (HSC not preliminary). That being said, sole links to your preliminary or HSC...

    English Paper 2: Dilemma

But not everyone went over time. It boils down to whether the OP was consciously aware to going over time and utilizing that to refine his essays ( which, by the way, is a privilege, not a lot of students have enough time to proofread.) And well, chances are the OP will never admit to it.

    English Paper 2: Dilemma

I guess there is a degree of responsibilty expected from students to take the initiative when aware the allocated exam time was incomplete. That being said, you were under an amount of stress that may have impaired your deductive reasoning. BUT, you still had a 30 minute advantage over other...
