too young for love? no time to live?

Personally, I've never been the clubbing type and neither have some of my friends. The ones who love it, go clubbing with other peeople who like it, I don't blame them, better to go with people who enjoy it as much as you do. Most of my friends have realised there are many fun things to do...

    MQ, UNE or SCU?

MQ would be easier to get to for OCS, we also record practically every lecture which means you can do anything by distance (which can be downloaded by mp3 format pretty soon after each lecture), if that helps.

Why don't we have stuvac period

As it has been said: *We get 1 week extra during mid sem (this is a trade off for no stuvac). *We started our semester a week later I'd prefer it at the end but you can't change it

    UWS or MQ for law?

If you care about the reputation - theres a marginal difference, but not much and the MQ Law school is becoming increasingly underfunded. Its only a matter of time before the reputation if MQ is displaced all the problems with the law school, which we students are fighting to address. Style...

Any point transferring from UWS Law to MQ Law?

It really depends on what you want, reputation is not the be all and end all: If you care about the reputation - theres a marginal difference, but not much and the MQ Law school is becoming increasingly underfunded. Its only a matter of time before the reputation if MQ is displaced all the...

what is so bad about UWS?

The BAD - UWS LAW 1. People's attitudes (UWS students work equally hard so putting them down is unfair) 2. Travel (The multiple campus thing can be annoying when a unit/major/degree is at another campus) 3. Apathetic students (some make learning difficult or it seems like you are the only one...

Are there any Christian teenagers out there??

I'm sure you've met athiests but have you met god? You need to exist to be able to ascertain if someone exists. I am not staying god doesn't exist but in this case, that doesn't make sense, Athiests clearly exist.

what is so bad about UWS?

To be fair, a lot of people on this forum are judging UWS on what their friends-cousins-dad who has never been to UWS or worked with a UWS student has said. Best of luck to those doing their HSC/applying to uni, I hope you get what you want out of it and it meets your expectations.

Are there any Christian teenagers out there??

errr an athiest would argue that there is no hell and they are not going there. You're the one who believes they are going to hell. Personally, I am not sure if I am athiest or agnostic (I kind of swing between the two) but I believe if there is a good he/she would not want me to follow...

Best of Luck for Your Legal Studies Exam + Tips

Best of luck for the Legal Studies exam on on the 4th November 2009. Here is a few tips that I have picked up along the way: Disclaimer: these are things that I found help me, adopt these as you see fit. This is not advice but merely observations from my experiences during the HSC and uni...

On the day of HSC results, what is given to us?

This. The main reason for this is otherwise schools would give their students high marks so they'd perform well. You'd also have problems with students sitting different exams/assessments/marked with different criteria.

    10 Units or 12?

Safety net is only useful if you are unsure about some units or are doing equally well in all of them. It really depends on what you are doing and your abilities with them/stress levels/study and organisation habits. I had 12units in year 11: *Eng (Adv) *Maths (2u) *Legal Studies *IPT...

If you don't make the ATAR cut off, can you still do the course?

Yes, it happens more often than you think. However don't get your hopes up/rely on it happening. Put your preferences in order of your preference, esp if you just miss the ATAR you might get in. That said there is also transfers and mature aged entry, all is not lost!

    "To Tender Evidence"

As I understand it (similar to Jtyler said): Tendering - when documents are presented to the court as evidence, they are numbered/lettered and all get to see it (judge, jury, both sides). Adducing - evidence from oral testimony (Examination in chief, cross, re examination)

Mature age entry jubilee scheme @ MQ

well it does say primarily, i.e. mainly, it does not say only! You assume this is easy but it really depends on ones ability to write a good statement that does everything they want

Will I be penalised for writing 2400 words for a 2000 word essay?

It really depends, its usually a gamble, esp when they give you a ridiculously small word limit!
