No Country for Old Men by Cormac Mccarthy

Has anyone read it? I just started and already the punctuation and grammar is driving me insane. There are no commas, instead the word "and" is used up to ten times in a single sentence. There are no apostrophes; "dont", "wont", "cant" etc. There are no speech marks which makes it confusing...

500 things you would rather do than watch soccer

Yes I do support rugby league. And to answer the question part of your response; with the size of the front-rowers nowadays, pretty much.

Does anyone else think Pat Hingle sucked as Gordon?

I don't mean any disrespect, believe me, but especially when compared to Gary Oldman's he was terrible. He didn't make me believe that he was Gordon, from now on, whenever I hear or see the words "Commissioner James Gordon" I will think of Gary Oldman with glasses.

    Best Movie 2008: Slumdog Millionare

It isn't coming out anywhere near me so I'll have to wait for the DVD to check it out. As for best movies of the year, I'd go with: 1. The Dark Knight 2. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 3. WALL·E And remember to use an interpunct when writing "WALL·E" people, it's not a hyphen.

    NRL is shit.

I saw on Sunrise once that a scientific experiment proved that when a male sees their football team score it sends moments of pleasure to the same part of the brain as they would having an orgasm during sexual intercourse. I don't know, I guess that would explain why chicks just don't get it.

What films are you going to see before the school year begins?

How did you see it? Did you download it or are you a critic? I will definitely check it out, opening day, which happens to be my birthday but-meh. It's definitely going to be great to see Mickey do it again. Darren Aronofsky is also quite an acclaimed director, although I have to admit I have...

Thoughts on To Kill A Mockingbird?

You would like the film starring Gregory Peck a lot more in that case.

What films are you going to see before the school year begins?

I've actually got quite a lot to cram into one month, but I will because I'm going into Year 11 next year :( and want to enjoy this last bit of freedom while I can, so that it would be possible that I could have even the slightest quantum of solace. Doubt - released 15/1 The Wrestler -...

    choosing a book

From what you said you liked in a book, the film No Country for Old Men directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, starring Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin and Tommy Lee Jones follows that very description. However, since I haven't read the book yet, I don't know how closely it follows the film, or rather...
