    Section 1 - Stimulus

Re: omg.... The 5 mark question didn't ask for similarities, it asked you to compare, which also includes differences. I'm sure you're fine :) Not sure about the creative, but I really wouldn't worry about it. Don't think about it anymore, its all over now.

General Thoughts: English Paper 1 (AOS)

I put symbolism (home = sense of belonging), contrast (different places that each individual calls home) and intertextuality (use of TS Elliot to back up his argument). It was hard, purely because it was so much more literal than the other three had been.

General Thoughts: English Paper 1 (AOS)

It was simply amazing. Don't want to jinx it though! Section 1 - actually made sense, wrote 7pgs. Section 2 - best stimulus for my story, wrote 8pgs. Section 3- quotation worked in well with my focus on cultural differences, wrote 10pgs. All in all, it was so much better than I expected...

    General Thoughts: Business Studies

They'll figure it out and send it on its merry way. Its not a major issue :)

    Referencing to Case Study

That is devastating! In my case, any BS would have been good BS! Damn, damn, damn hahah.

    Referencing to Case Study

The other sections were all a-okay, so at least I will still be 85+ :) Its just one of those REALLY stupid mistakes you want to kick yourself in the head for.

    Referencing to Case Study

Yeah, my teacher didn't even tell me which section to use the case study in! I had to find out on here. I was so annoyed though, because it was the last thing I thought of going into the exam. And I just completely forgot to talk about it at all!

    Referencing to Case Study

I wonder how many of us forgot to do this...

Hard test compared to other year?

Sections I, II and III were too easy and Section IV required far too much information/application for "simply" HSC Business Studies. So while I was busy trying to figure out how the hell to structure my response, I completely forgot about including case study material. :(

Question re writing questions on exam booklets

Probably not. They'll just redirect it to the right marking section, I think.

    Section IV - Extended Response

Re: Business Studies Section IV: Extended Response I did the same thing! Its not only that I forgot to put it in, it was not even IN my mind at all. I only remembered on the way home. Wonder how many marks I'll lose -.-

    General Thoughts: Business Studies

Multiple choice and short answer were easy and the business report was pretty good. But the extended response questions were insane. I forgot to talk about my case studies and only remembered on the way home. FML.

    Anyone still up?

You can do either all of OE or just capital. But I don't think you can use retained profits by itself. Its best to show the marker what you have used, i.e. write owner's equity (capital) or something. :)

    Fair Workplace Act 2009

Agreed! At least "Fair Work Act" is easy to remember :D Thank you.

    Fair Workplace Act 2009

Will markers penalise students who discuss the Workplace Relations Act and AIRC rather than the Fair Work Act, considering the changes are relatively recent? My class was taught the old piece of legislation and I'm just wondering what would happen if I used it :)

Does the School Certificate and Trials even matter?

I did my SC through TAFE in 3 months and everyone told me I was ruining my life. Now I'm ranked first in all my prelim subjects, back in a "normal" school. What you achieve in the SC doesn't affect or predict your overall HSC results, but the skills you learn from it are vital to a higher level...
