You go speak to someone in the faculty office etc. Dropping all classes won't do it.

There are alternative ways to get in.

What journal is it? Some websites cater for specific subjects. i.e. if it is science/engineering/tech related it will be easier to find than if it is sociology or something like that.

To FOBs: if the lecturer appears to be of Chinese background etc, do not speak to them in Chinese. They may not understand it/appreciate this.

That is true, although is based on the assumption that the rest of the world did indeed follow our lead. To gamble with the Australian economy like that is a fairly big risk.

If sending an email to them, use ' Hi Dr Smith' etc unless they have previously directed otherwise. Likewise, when talking in person to them, unless they know your name also, refer to them as Dr Smith also unless again, they have specifically asked you to call them John etc.
