    Texts for Legal Referencing?

I know its classic, I saw it and for a moment thought it was the CLA Quick referencing question, I am working on an assignment for a social science subject which uses Harvard, I want to refer to legislation, its ok to just cite it as I would for my law subjects isnt it? I dont think harvard...

whats better.. over the phone? in person?

I think it depends on the person, I was asked out online by a guy from uni, I don't blame him, he could never get me alone since I always had some of my friends around. But then i'm not the type to fuss over such things, I guess some people would find it impersonal.

    Sexual assault - specific intent(?)

An Anthony Callea fan & a law student!!! I thought I was alone :D If the attempt has specific intent, wouldn't it be safe to say the actual act of it would too? Meh I haven't done Criminal law yet and am most likely 100% wrong but I can't wait *green with envy goes back to reading the Civil...

    Hard?

Its hard to say, generally teachers do this to motivate students, but I don't know you or your class. My teacher was very fussy with our work but I guess that came as he had studied law. If you want an idea of how hard HSC markers mark, go to the Bos...

who wants to be a lawyer

The separation of powers doctrine divides the power between the executive (crown etc) who enforces the law, legislature (parliament) who makes the law and judiciary (courts) who apply the law. The division of powers is where in the Constitution Act 1901 (cth) s51 the powers are divided...

who wants to be a lawyer

2005: 90.0 2006: 85.0 I don't think it will go down much more but who knows? I found it the most UAI friendly cutoff. That said it doesn't mean everyone in the course is stupid (which people might have you believe), I know one person in my class who got 98ish :)

Well we can't please everyone, then there would be complaints about the amount of advertising. As people said if you want it pay, if you don't then don't but why complain about it if you arent considering doing it?

who's got a shit legal teacher?

You should talk to your teacher, don't say "Omg I think u are crap..." but calmly explain that you are having difficulties and that you don't know what she is talking about, she probably assumes you know it all because no one speaks up (I've seen this happen in my uni classes often). Don't...

who wants to be a lawyer

^ It's possible, believe me when I say this, I seriously thought there was no hope for me. People who think that are stupid, we have so many different types of people in my law classes, young, old, school leavers, transfer students, international students and I know quite a few leb law...

Personally I'd pay it regardless of the features, I'd do it to know that the money will go back into the site and help make it better for the future kiddies. The site was here/is here for you, why not give something back? Everyone says "oh how can we donate" but it seems like for a lot of people...

    Law Week

No one can make that decision for you, you need to look at it from your perspective and needs. Look at location, course structure, course options, what UAI you expect etc... I basically chose my uni for a few reasons: 1. I knew I wouldn't make the cutoff for Syd or NSW but UWSs cutoff was...

B International Business or B Law

I found the same thing, I had a lawyer for a legal teacher so I find Intro now really similar to year 12, however others have disagreed. That said, is it possible to take Intro as one of your subjects while doing Arts? That would give you an insight I suppose, i'm pretty sure you can because I...

    Half Yearly Exams Quick Revision

Yep, here you go, this is what I did and its the style my teacher liked so just use it as an example as I have not used it in an HSC exam, hope it helps. (Just remember you cant always address all the criteria so do which ones apply) What are the factors that limit the effectiveness of...
