Buriza nailed it pretty well For #1 ask anyway as all they can say is no. For #2 say whatever you want, they're getting payed to do this. For #3 maybe but don't rely on it. For #4 i put my papers on the ground and they didn't touch them, if they did i would've said something.

. Depends on the context and time constraints though, if you feel that you don't have time to include actual stats you could just write the former. I doubt the marker would care either way tbh

Typically yeah, with a good shotgun approach you'll end up hitting 90% of the syllabus anyway

With stuff like this i would typically shotgun approach it with common sense. Use google and online resources.

Just to note, if anyone wants to input some more advice I'm more than glad to edit this into a collaborative advice thread as opposed to just my own tips. This applies to both past students and 2015ers when their hsc ends/is close to ending.

I'm sure that money could have been spent doing something more practical such as feeding homeless people (or helping anyone that is still alive in this present moment). While a small search for bodies is justified for that reason, a search of this scale, at least in my opinion, is not.

Way too many resources have been spent on this search. I thought this died out long ago.

If you've already committed to a place with company x (signed documentation) then stay with company x. If you cancel out of your agreement and company x gets pissed they may blacklist you. You also need to account that companies talk, so reflecting badly on one firm may have repercussions when...

Reenforcing what Trebs said, it wasn't quite a cadetship but i got my offer for co-op ~3 weeks after the initial offers were made due to being on the waiting list.
