I think MIF is good foundation, so it might do you well to use a mixture of textbooks. I agree that you should attempt more questions from other textbooks as mentioned above though. They'd definitely be more challenging than the ones in MIF.

I'm assuming OP already knows the gist of how a creative goes. An individual lacks something and strives to attain it, there is a complication, etc. In saying that, there doesn't necessarily have to be a resolution. Sure you could end the creative with the individual having achieved whatever...

Sure, why not.

You'll definitely meet people who are intellectual equals or superiors, so you'll have no problem there. My opinion would be that you make friends and immerse yourself in a variety of social activities. It's definitely possible to balance life and fun after all.
