I'm pre sure we do keep our marks in external, however the marks also goes to another person based on rankings.

I'm fine with internals weighing 50% of your HSC mark, however as nonya2000 said, the ranking system is absolutely ridiculous, my "internal mark/grade" shouldn't be based on what other people get. Ranking shouldn't have a play in this system imo. If I get a overall 80 in my internal, and 90 in...

That's true but imo I'd rather have a easy test with horrible scaling like the 2023 one, than hard one and better scaling.

I've done HSC papers from 2023 to 2020 so far and I found the 2020 one the hardest in terms of difficulty. Hopefully we won't get a paper like that this year, although there are high chances we will :/

Yep I agree, although I really hope that doesn't happen as I really wanna finish short answers in max 35-40mins, and with a 6 marker, that defo won't happen. For the common mod essay tho, I feel like it's going to be something explicitly from the rubric like it will mention "anomaly, paradox...

I would actually like that cuz I've always gotten full marks for my reflection in both trials and one of the assessment. What do you think will be the mark distribution? I reckon it might be 12 for writing and 8 for reflection, cuz they did that for both my trials and assessment so might meaning...

Is this calculator still accurate for 2024 HSC students? Also is this calculator only meant to be for trial marks, or overall marks can be inputted as well (from sem2 reports)?
