Is it possible to cycle to UWS?

I've heard some people tried walking, but its still pretty far. Probably take you about half hour of cycling and that's up and down hill. Probably good though, if you're up for the exercise. But bring deoderant incase you smell when you get to class. Otherwise, I'd say give up and take the...

    Sub major...important?

^ yeah, usually employers would assess you with other potential graduates by looking at your Uni marks, but they only do this for the first few years after you graduate with a degree or while your studying as an undergrad. I'd say 5 years after graduation, the marks and Uni is not really...

    What do we bring

no you don't need a laptop for BBC accounting. Bring water, and get some sleep so you don't drift off during class. I find the loose-leaf lecture pads useful to write down notes and then shove them in a folder when I get home. Becuase things get really messy in an exercise book.

    Sub major...important?

No, sub-majors are not important. I doubt an employer would care much unless you want to get into a specific engineering career, but a Major in that would look more impressive. But generally employers would put most emphasis on your performance, pick out your fails or High Distinctions grades...

    USB (HD) TV Tuners

No. I bought one, and the only reception I get is to SBS. I bought mine from ebay for $30, but the USB ones are all essentially the same thing; crappy antenna. Unless it allows you to plug it into the roof antenna, there's really no point in getting one. Invest in a TV.

    Contribution Fee

^ yeah, the optional student contribution is paid for each semester, since they invoice you on a per session basis.

    Lectures & Tutorials

It's not advised, especially in first year when you're just settling into Uni. Also especially if you have a short attention span (like me), you could end up drifting off during class, so potentially wasting your own time, money, effort and risking a fail grade. But if you think you can hack 6...

    Lectures & Tutorials

4 lectures in one day?? Ouch, that's either going to hurt your back carrying 4 textbooks, hurt your brain trying to concerntrate or if it was me I'll probably end up not going at all after week 3. If you're still going ahead with lectures all in one day, you should schedule tutorials for...

    Couple of Questions, Urgent

If you're sure you want to transfer into B Bus/Com (Acc), you should choose electives next semester that are in the Bus/Com degree. That way, when you do get into B Bus/Com, the units you already did in B Arts can be used as advanced credit, meaning you save time by not having to do those units...

    Please, Help!

Try giving a Bachelor of Arts a go. You can major in Jap, and/or education, which may take about 3 years..or maybe less if you do an IT/Jap, since you already have TAFE qualifications in IT, so you may get some credit for that. There's heaps of people at Uni, who are enrolled as mature-aged...
