    The ions turn back into the ionic compound (salt or lattice of atoms) when the water is evaporated, they are no longer ions. Is this what you are confused at? (I also think the source is quite confusing)

    Wait, I thought atoms emit colours because the electrons become excited. I have no idea how did ions gett involved.

    Not so much for ext 1 and 2 maths, based on my school (which have a similar ranking), but ranking in sciences definitely have a large effect (some years there are 3 or 4 band 6, some years only have 1). But again, this may not apply to you because schools are different from each other.

    Not sure about your school, but my school have a similar ranking and the quality of the cohort is drastically different years to years (can jump from 160 to 110 and vice versa), so definitely top 5 in all subject for a secured 90+. You said 90+ atar so I assume that you do not just want a low...

    I started 4 unit maths this term and there is a model of calculator that can calculate complex numbers, it is necessary to buy it (fx-100 Au plus) and is it helpful in exams? Because some people said it's quite useless in 4 unit maths.

    How should I utilise my reading time

    How should I use my reading time in maths and science exams? Should I start to do the multiple choice questions straight away or should I read through the paper? Can someone gives some tips for using the reading time, it would be very helpful, thanks.
