there is a girl at our school who does it ( high scalers) 3 u maths 3 u eng and chem etc, and she is failing coa she is stupid. but if u r cpable then it may be worth doing high scalers for marks

at our skool it is fairly obs who is going to get dux ... but i am going to try and beat that person! lol .. if i get dux it will be pretty amazing .. coz i am not exactly a person ppl would expect for dux .. gut we will see

yeah i agree with the bit of teachrs being biased .. but even though they are biased talke to them!!!! coz they can provide you with invaluable advice and ideas! you just have to learn to not accept everything they say and intepret what they say.

haha yeah year 11 is cool, it isnt quite as serious and final as year 12...

yeh i know but hey thats how our school does it. Students who may be dux are called by the school ..and yeah you have to prove it! so people dont just make stuff up ..

^ we dont get any sheets for english ( sorry for crashing the thread lol) what do u guys get englihs sheets on? its weird that we get none and our english part of our folder is empty and u guys seem to get heaps

okay lol thanks 4 advice. the only prob with big folders is when i take pages out to study from they get messed up and you lose the order ...

^^^ keep them all if you are coping or drop 1/3/3/4 ( lol or even 5) units that you aretn doing as well in

year 10 formal limo. paid $45 each. about 10 of us. cruised around beforehand though

* Learn the stuff that carries over e.g. moles and balancing equations dont worry with all the info and stuff on metals. you may be able to catch up, but u could seriously consider dropping it ...

i use loose leaf in a folder at school. the mess starts when i get home. I used to transfer the stuff to manilaa folders or other ring binder folders but this didnt work as then when i took pages out to study i lost the places and i ended up with all my notes all over the floor! i am going to...

i went to year 12 grad, only 1 teacher and 1 student cried ( that i saw) normally like noone cries though (our school at least though)

the school calls people they think will have the highest uai ( coz the school can see the hsc marks) students with good uais call the school then whoever has the highest brings in the slip to proof it and ta da they are dux

based on best uai for our school ...

another advantage of 12 units is that even though you think one course wont count ( namely the one you are doing worst in) it might actually because of scaling. so you acn have the 10 units that do best ..saying that i am probably only going to do 11
