Dot points, dot points = Boring

We should all know this by now. We shouldn't have to go over it again and again and again in class. Its a biology class, we're there to learn about biology. As I said, I am well aware of this. But if the dot points (memorising) is all someone is going to learn, they'll FAIL because it is not...

Dot points, dot points = Boring

I'm not in an English class. I really don't care about how to answer an IDENTIFY or EXPLAIN question. Thats all useless unless you know the content. I have had two biology teachers. In year 11 the teacher didn't use the dot points as the basis of their teaching and the class on average got...

Dot points, dot points = Boring

This thread is very opinionative and may not reflect some peoples views; but I am entitled to this opinion. I hope some teachers are reading this thread as well (those teachers guilty of this). What is it with DOT BLOODY POINTS? Some teachers use the dot points as the basis of every lesson...

Is it possible to have ur HSC taken away

Once you have your HSC they cant take it away from you. But if they haven't submitted your school results to the Board of Studies then you could be in some sort of bad situation. The Board of Studies has its rules regarding assessments and elegibility for the HSC. However, the Board of...

Two Unit Surfing as HSC course?

I don't think many people that replied actually read past the first paragraph of the article. This subject is no different to woodwork and PE. The proposed surfing subject has a mix of skills in making surf boards and Physical Education and even other skills. It's totally fine and...

    should english be compsory

To be elegible for a UAI then English (ESL / Standard / Advanced) should be compulsary. But for people not wanting a UAI, you should be able to get an HSC without having to do English. I think English is to focused on things we don't need, and it should be changed. There should be a COMMON...

    backup courses for university

And most people don't get the scholarships for the lower UAI courses. The most equitable scholarships out there are ones funded by the Government, because the universities (from what I have read) have no say (or very little say) in who gets them.

    backup courses for university

My mum is a registered nurse and she always told us that she would kill us if we ever chose nursing. I think thats only because she has done it for 16 years :D But Charles Sturt University has a good nursing course. It was one of the first universities with nursing when hospitals stopped...

    backup courses for university

You should always be honest in your UAC preferences. Always put the course you want to do most in the first preference, then second etc etc etc. Of course, after you get your UAI you may say: "hmm, I only got 70.00 so I won't get into my first preference course which needs 80.00". But always...

Kelso High School - Set on fire

Well thats not my school. Bathurst has two public high schools. My High School (Bathurst High) wouldn't burn all that well because its quite old and is mainly brick and concrete. Kelso High School on the other hand is a pretty new building (compared to Bathurst High) and has quite a lot of...

Kelso High School - Set on fire

I have just got information just within the last few minutes that Kelso High School (in Bathurst) has been set on fire. I don't know how much damage has been done. However the damage was bad enough for the Disaster Recovery Manager from the Department of Community Services (who I live with) to...
