Yes, using the actual HSC papers is great practice. I'd also recommend thsc, that website's awesome for finding trial papers.

I mean, I didn't do Extension 2 Maths, but as someone who did Extension 1 Maths, I can relate to your struggles. I used to think that vector proofs were incredibly random and for a great part of the year, these were the bane of my existence until an older student showed me how to do them...

Do you have to do one in the vein of a particular topic for the term? If not, can you do anything you want except the three criteria you mentioned above?

Aren't there solutions in the textbook, or do you need better ones? Also, do you need solutions for every PAPT question, or specific ones?

For each society I'm interested in, it's ok if you don't show up if you're busy, plus the club members understand if you're busy with assessments, exams etc. A Go8 uni

How many clubs/societies can I realistically join without impacting too much on my studies? My uni offers heaps of them and so many of them sound awesome. I was thinking maybe 2-3 to start, but does anyone have any other insights?

Yes, that is all very true. I just think it's due for an update because the syllabus is so dated, plus the lack of detail is terrible. I found it so confusing because they'd have several vague points in the syllabus which some textbooks would elaborate further on than others, so I'd constantly...
