    Permanent timetable clashes

Yes, it looks like I will just live with the clash. I think I will attend the Law lecture and catch up on the Chem. What about quizzes in lectures, which I believe count for some of the assessment? Is there anything to do about those?

    Permanent timetable clashes

It appears that Chemistry 1A Advanced (CHEM1901) has a clash with Foundations of Law (LAWS1006) on Monday at 9am. Does this mean that 1st year law students effectively cannot do advanced Chemistry? Is the only thing I can do change my enrolment to standard Chemistry?

    Timetable Question

I just got my timetable today and I seem to have a very problematic clash on Monday at 9am between Foundations of Law (LAWS1006) and Chemistry 1A Advanced (CHEM1901), as they both require lectures at that time. Is there anything I can do?

    First year physics

Excellent. Thanks for the input people. I'll still go over the HSC physics content a bit, but it's good to know the Maths Ext 2 mechanics will come in handy. On a side note, what is the difference between the two streams in second semester of first year, i.e. technological vs environmental?

    First year physics

I'm enrolled in PHYS1001 for first semester, but I didn't do Year 12 Physics. I did really well in Year 11 physics (couldn't find the time to keep it on unfortunately), and I also did well in Maths Ext 2. After reading through the HSC syllabus and going through an Excel guide to the HSC course...

    Subject codes on MyUni

At least that's one thing sorted out then. Still, nothing appears on WebCT. Maybe they are just slow getting things onto the site?

    Subject codes on MyUni

To get where I went go to the MyUni site http://myuni.usyd.edu.au/ and then click login to MyUni. Enter your details and click login, which should take you to your myuni homepage. There should be a number of tabs along the top, the second of which should say MyStudy. Click this, which should...

    Subject codes on MyUni

I just enrolled in Combined Law at USyd this year, and I have been checking out the MyUni site, which today came up with a list of my subjects. These are all correct, except that two entries - LAWS1012 and LAWS1013 - say 'unknown subject' next to the course code, rather than the subject name...

    Enrolment for Law at Sydney

Yeah, it does. I just checked with the helpline at USyd. Once you have activated the profile, just arrive at the right time/day.

    Relevance of context to journeys?

Thanks very much. I'll try to use that approach. So much to fit in in 40 minutes...

    Relevance of context to journeys?

How important is a discussion of context for the Area of Study? Reading the syllabus stuff, it says "[students] take into account whether aspects such as context... are appropriate to the particular text". How much should we talk about this? Also, how is this linked to "assumptions underlying...

    Frontline - Question

You should be examining both aspects of 'the truth': how the current affairs programme 'Frontline' distorts the truth, as well as the ways in which the composers (Sitch) also create their own truth.
